A restaurant where you can learn about Bihoro Town & Hokkaido through food

A sister restaurant of “Umisora no Hal” (Sapporo Susukino), which offers creative cuisine with a modern twist on traditional Ainu cuisine. Under the theme of “eating local,” the restaurant offers locally produced and locally consumed dishes using local ingredients. Popular menu items include the popular “Bihoro Wagyu Beef and Onion Curry,” which uses plenty of Bihoro Wagyu beef and onions, and the “Ezo Venison Roast Bowl,” which features venison from Okhotsk roasted at a low temperature. Not only the food, but even the dishes are made by local artists, allowing diners to get to know the local area through the food.

Bihoro Wagyu Beef Onion Curry

Full of tender Bihoro Wagyu beef and Bihoro onions. This original curry is a blend of 8 spices. Onion pickles and onion soup are included. The bowl is made of “Okhotsk ware of Bihoro Kiln”.

Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce Ramen

1,000 yen

Thin noodles made of Bihoro wheat are used. The soup is made from Bihoro pork, and the secret ingredient is soy sauce made from Marumanma soy sauce. Please enjoy it while dissolving the soy-sauce soaked in mountain horseradish produced in Bihoro Town into the soup. The chashu pork is a gem of Hokkaido pork cooked at a low temperature to make it soft and fluffy. *Okhotsk ware from the Bihoro Kiln is used for the bowl.

Ezo venison & roasted bear meat rice bowl

Served with mountain wasabi marinated in soy sauce

Salmon Ohau Set Meal – Traditional Ainu Cuisine

1,200 yen

A set meal of Ohau, which is said to mean “soup with a lot of ingredients” in the Ainu language, rice cooked with inakibi, a small seasonal bowl, and smoked salmon fillet. Ohau is seasoned with salt and kelp for a simple and gentle taste. The dish is served in “Endate Kogei’s Goenohana (Japanese pagoda) made by Endate Kogei in Bihoro.
